About this Position

The Loken Group is seeking a full-time Digital Marketing Specialist who can create compelling digital marketing communications and who can support our marketing department in prioritizing projects and workflow.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of SEM/SEO experience, be self-motivated, have a passion for digital marketing, and think innovatively. In addition, we are looking for someone who already understands what it takes to complete different types of marketing projects and who can help manage the day-to-day workflow of the marketing department, timelines of projects, and who can identify when we need to reprioritize projects and follow up with other departments accordingly.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for planning, researching, developing, negotiating, and executing Google, Facebook, and Instagram ad campaigns, Bing ad campaigns, and LinkedIn ad campaigns, development of landing pages, editing of website as needed, developing and editing videos for email campaigns, YouTube and Facebook, and collaborating with team members on various marketing projects for The Loken Group family of brands (The Loken Group, Houston Portfolio Real Estate, TLG Commercial, TLG Gives, etc).

The Digital Marketing Specialist will work with the team, copywriters, graphic designers, social media specialist, and vendor partners, and will develop and execute digital communications that will meet or exceed expectations of deliverables.

  • Develop digital marketing strategies to drive leads and conversions based on established goals
  • Create lead generation campaigns from start to finish on various ad networks, including performing keyword research, targeting, remarketing and tracking
  • Working knowledge of all digital channels [SEO, SEM, CRO, PPC, Facebook, Instagram, Bing, Twitter, Google Plus, Linked In, Affiliate/Referral and Email]
  • Leveraging cross-channel knowledge to develop growth strategies that can be used to drive revenue
  • Monitor performance of leads across channels and hold accountable against KPIs
  • Analyze reports/data to optimize and scale campaigns
  • Test the performance of ad creative, landing page design and bidding strategies to improve results
  • Research and identify new opportunities/areas of growth to increase traffic
  • Keep up to date on digital media policy changes and restrictions
  • Keep up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and metrics
  • Manage additional projects as they arise and provide support for the marketing team


Qualifications and Skills

  • BA in Liberal Arts, Marketing, Business, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience with at least 2 years of SEM/SEO experience
  • Experience with Wordpress
  • Experience with Google AdWords and Bing Ads
  • Experience with Facebook and Instagram ads
  • Experience with LinkedIn ads is not required but is preferred
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics and SEM tools (Google Analytics required; Google Data Studio, SEMrush and others, preferred)
  • Google Analytics certification strongly preferred
  • Google Ads certification strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of project management systems (e.g. Basecamp or other)
  • Strong understanding of marketing project timelines, resource allocation, and strong follow up skills with internal clients
  • Able to successfully articulate and champion new ideas and concepts in front of various audiences
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as fine attention to detail
  • Demonstrates a high sense of ownership and accountability
  • Knowledge of quality assurance practices for production of communication deliverables
